Shelley Staton has lived in the Kansas City area her entire life, from Liberty to Carrollton, MO
and Olathe to Leawood on the KS side.  She is a graduate of
Notre Dame De Sion and

Rockhurst University where she studied the French and Spanish languages and Communication,
ultimately earning a Bachelors degree in Business Communication and Marketing. She has now
combined this knowledge with her families' successful real estate history to become a fourth
                        generation Realtor.

Shelley's great grandfather built the Professional Building, a historic landmark in downtown Kansas City, her
grandfather and his partners developed Corporate Woods Office Park in Overland Park,  her grandmother was a
residential real estate broker, who kept an active license until her death at the age of 81 and her dad, Doug Lyman,
is currently enjoying his own success as a residential Realtor for Reece and Nichols.  Relentless in perfection and
customer satisfaction, they are now the
Lyman Staton Team located at the Reece and Nichols Southgate Office at
7600 State Line Road, Suite 210, Prairie Village, KS 66208.  From this office they service Kansas and Missouri
including but not limited to Overland Park, Mission, Merriam, Leawood, Olathe, Shawnee Mission, Mission Hills,
Fairway, Roeland Park, Lee's Summit, Kansas City, Belton, Raymore, Raytown, Harrisonville, Grandview, Edgerton,
Stanley, Stillwell, Desoto, Gardner and Shawnee, all of which have local information provided about them on their
web site,
www.HomeSoldQuick.com.

You may already know Shelley from her notable time as the Distinctive Homes Account Executive and Classified
Advertising Manager for the Business Journal.  Account Executive of the Year was just one of the prominent awards
she earned during her tenure there.

Shelley is the proud wife to Merrill and mother to two school age sons, Hamilton and Lyman.  Shelley's family also
deals with such personal challenges as
Cystic Fibrosis and Charcot Marie Tooth Disease.  To support one of these
worthwhile causes, Shelley co-founded a non-profit organization called Caring Families for Cystic Fibrosis (CF4CF)
to raise money for local families affected by CF, raising over $20K in it's first year.  Add to this, Co-founder of a
successful freight brokerage and founder and former President of the Olathe West chapter of Mom's Club and you
will see that Shelley Staton has enjoyed making positive things happen in a few short years.  She remains avidly
involved with the
Greater Johnson County chapter of Mothers and More and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation by
fundraising, volunteering and creating public awareness.

In 2006, Shelley Staton created Young Spanish.  This idea has transformed the school room into a fun and relaxed
class setting that is designed to keep children interested while stimulating their second language learning
experience.  We all know that children can learn in a daycare and preschool setting, but coffee houses, custard and
pastry shops?  It is true!  Shelley collaborated her innovation, Two-Way Bilingual Immersion program and Boca Beth
products with outside partners to form what we call the perfect environment for learning.  Now parents can get a 30
minute break to have coffee or a snack and their child gets an education too!  You have the convenience of an
educator coming to you in a school, group or individual setting or you can visit one of the partnering public locations.
Since then, there have been other local businesses start up with similar claims and even similar names, providing
Young Spanish the greatest example of flattery.

In 2009, The
Lyman Staton Team was honored and one of the top 100 Reece and Nichols Realtors.  With her real
estate career going so well and her desire of more family time, Shelley made the bitter sweet decision to sell Young
Spanish.  With that business in the hands of new, energetic owners, she can now make an effort to simplify and
focus her attention on the things that matter most.

As you can see, Shelley Staton is quite a person.  She is selfless, resilient, persistent and worthy of your business.
When it is your most important decision, Shelley has a proven track record of successfully handling it with care and
compassion.
